FIBA Europe has announced the clubs to participate in its EuroCup Women competition, for the 2009-2010 season. The EuroCup Women features 38 participants. The 38 teams will be drawn into eight groups of four teams and two groups of three teams for the preliminary round. The best 32 teams advance to the Sixteenth-Finals.

FIBA Europe has announced the clubs to participate in its EuroLeague Women competition, for the 2009-2010 season. The EuroLeague features 8 new teams among its 24 participants compared to last season.

Sport Express reports that's Russian Basketball Federation (RBF) has applied to European Basketball Championship in 2015. Sergei Chernov, president of RBF will participate in FIBA Europe's presidential elections in 2010 and is willing to use this position to bring Eurobasket 2015 to his home country.

Jonas Kazlauskas is now officially the coach of the Greek National Team for the next two season. Mr Kazlauskas had a meeting today with the President of FIBA Europe George Vasilakopoulos and the General Secretary of the Greek Basketball Federation Mr. Tsagronis and agreed on the final terms of the deal.
